About 52 tweaks

three simple ideas behind 52 tweaks

1. I want to be better in a year, than I am now.

I think I can do this by identifying areas of change, identifying important steps to getting to each.

2. New Year’s Resolutions don’t work for me.

I won’t wake up on January 1st and immediately implement one lasting change. It’s too much pressure. And anyway, I want to improve in more than one area of life, and do so in an intuitive, natural way.

3. There must be a better way!

I think there is. I’m going to try it out, and I hope you will too.

the 52 tweaks plan:

Every week, change one thing in your life.

Whether you want to work on being more productive, de-cluttering your home, losing 50 pounds, finding exercise you enjoy, learning Swahili, or running a marathon, you can do it by adding a new change (or tweak) every week.

It can be whatever you think you can or should do to make your life better.
At the end of the week, if it works, keep it. And then add another tweak.
If not, dump it, and try something else.

It’s organic, it’s intuitive, and you are your own guru.

where you fit in

I am going to post my tweaks at the start of each week in 2008.

Each week, I’ll start a thread for that week, where you can comment with your planned tweak.

At the end of the week, I will post again about how it went for me, and I hope you will report back too.

getting started:

You can start your 52 tweaks any time.  Do not wait for a new year!

This post leads you through deciding what areas to change.
